Wine gets a special meaning if you have the right wine glass. Wine glasses are available in many different types and selecting the right one is important to enjoy the right taste of your favorite wine.  There are different wine glasses for different wines and using the right wine glass is always advisable to feel the wine as it should be.

Really good champagne and wine at a wedding is anticipated. The marriage party will only be good with the drink. In fact, it is so essential that brides will go to good lengths and spend more money on the wine than other things. Sometimes brides will even spend more on the drinks than she does on her own dress.

  In the last few years, the number of marketing terms associated with a bottle of wine seems to be increasing. These days, you have a wide variety of opportunities. A $3 generic box of wine is one thing. An expensive bottle worth thousands of dollars can also be found. The verbiage on a bottle of wine explains a lot about what is inside. Understanding those words is the first step to drinking a truly fine wine.

It could be very hard to select the right wine bottle. Occasionally people host social dinners. In these cases, it is even more important to have the “right” wine bottle. Consider personal choice, of course. Another aspect to consider though is the meals. Wine pairing is the idea of selecting a wine with a flavor profile that flatters the taste profile of the food. You will find features amongst the wine and food that will show they “go well” together. This is one strategy to the wine pairing.

Have you ever wondered why wine glasses were different than beer or liquor glasses? Maybe you've wondered why there are so many different kinds of wine glasses. The fact of the matter is that there's a good reason for having all those different kinds of wine glasses. Believe it or not, wine will taste different in each one of them. I am looking to purchase about 30 (maybe more) 50-55 gal. cabernet or red wine barrel's for aging our barley wine in. We have done a couple of test batches and are excited about the results. If your vineyard or another you know of that has "quality" barrel's for sale please contact me. We are looking to get this project started fairly quickly.

Hello everyone, with the slowing down of things on the site (again sorry for lack of content recently) I have decided to try and get things moving a bit again.  So I want to start up a new forum topic for you to share some of your best wine experiences.  whether it was a fun trip you took intentionally or a happy consequence of something you do regularly, or even just an amusing wine story, please share with us here.

Another article I found interesting regarding technology and wine. I still can't stand twitter, but if only I had a smart phone, I would probably be using apps to select wine at the grocery store while buying dinner. :)

Hey everyone, I figured I might update people as to the progression of my wine closet that I wrote an article about here.  When I wrote the article me and my dad had just finished building it in an extra closet I had at my place (again thanks Dad).  The whole thing was pretty simple then with a board and trim going accross to make a counter top (a surprisingly sturdy one at that) along with a few store bought wodden wine racks.
